Every child carries something special inside them – a story to tell, a voice worth hearing. At Rise Up Kids, we’re here to help that shine.
We walk alongside children through four gentle paths: participatory drama, where they step into stories together; public speaking, where they find the courage to speak up and think for themselves; arts and crafts, where they make things with their own hands; and financial education, where they discover that even the smallest idea can grow into something real. At the heart of it all is social-emotional learning — helping children understand their feelings, build empathy, and find their place in the world.
But we are more than our programs. We’re becoming a village – a safe and gentle place where parents, children, and caring people come together to raise each child with love. Here, no child rises alone.

With over 20 years of experience working alongside children and families, Sijesh Augustine believes childhood is where confidence, emotional well-being, and a sense of belonging begin.
A Registered Social Worker with graduate training in social work and political science, Sijesh brings together social-emotional learning (SEL), participatory drama, and community to help children feel seen, safe, and empowered to grow.
At Rise Up Kids, he believes in a simple truth: it takes a village to raise a child. Together, educators, families, and mentors create a space where every child can discover their voice, build meaningful connections, and author their own story with confidence, compassion, and purpose.
Every child deserves a strong foundation to learn, grow, and succeed. Through engaging programs, caring mentorship, and enriching experiences, we nurture confidence, creativity, leadership, and essential life skills, helping children reach their fullest potential while building brighter futures for themselves and their communities.

Rise Up Kids acknowledges the land on which we gather, and which the Region of Peel and City of Brampton operate, is part of the Treaty Lands and Territory of the Mississauga of the Credit.
For thousands of years, Indigenous peoples inhabited and cared for this land and continue to do so today. In particular, we acknowledge the territory of the Anishinabek, Huron-Wendat, Haudenosaunee, and Ojibway/Chippewa peoples; the land that is home to the Metis; and most recently, the territory of the Mississauga of the Credit First Nation who are direct descendants of the Mississauga’s of the Credit.
We are grateful to have the opportunity to work on this land, and by doing so, give our respect to its first inhabitants.
